Strategy: 

The GLG Institute offers select rising executives the opportunity for mentorship and learning directly from the Institute’s network of Advisors comprised of influential leaders in their industries including former CEO’s, educators and policy makers. Over the course of their membership GLG Institute Members engage in a customized and adaptive program developed around their personal business challenges and professional goals. Members participate in a program comprised of one-on-one mentoring, small group meetings and networking events tailored around their professional needs. We focused on imagery and video to illustrated the personal interaction and individual attention the Institute offers. We paired these with clean lines, typography, and a subdued color palette that reflect the professional nature and sophistication of the product, employing some simple parallax effects to impart the site a contemporary feel.

The content strategy was three pronged. We started by showcasing the Institute’s Advisors (Faculty at the time) highlighting the caliber of individuals we provide access while affiliating our brand with well known and respected brands in their industries. Secondly, we used quotes and video from Advisors and Members with content to both clarify the product offering while creating an emotional connection and testifying to the excellence of the product. Finally, we provided concrete examples of the types of sessions members would gain access to.

Strategy:
The GLG institute offers selected rising executives the opportunity to learn directly from leaders in their industries, former CEO’s and educators, through small meetings and and one-on-one mentoring. The Institute’s Leadership 15 summits are white glove, application only, two day learning events for 15 select individuals. The iPad app pulls gives attendees have access to faculty and member profiles, the schedule and a calendar of upcoming Institute events. We moved from printed materials to iPads to lower production costs & time for each event, allow for easy and up to the minute flexibility and control for event coordinators and reinforce the branding message that GLG Institute is a high end, modern program.

Strategy:
Patch is a local news site that offers a mix of posts from local contributors and neighbors with professional editorial content from Patch editors. In 2011 Patch underwent a major redesign initiative to reimagine the brand and focus on increasing user contribution. This concept pitch focused on user contributed content and a follow feed model for discovering and customizing your local news stream. Users & Patch editors could easily publish news about their business, local cub scout group, or local interest stories. This design concept focused around photography of model train figurines with the goal of conveying the feel of a suburban town (Patch’s primary market) in an abstract way. The aim of the design was to create a brand that could have a local feel across an national market.

Strategy:
Patch is a local news site that offers a mix of posts from local contributors and neighbors with professional editorial content from Patch editors. In 2011 Patch underwent a major redesign initiative to reimagine the brand and focus on increasing user contribution. This concept pitch focused on simplifying actions users were able to take on the site pairing a menu including news, events, directory, market place, Q&A and volunteer to two simple choices: browse and post. I used a bold color palette and overlays to give the design a fresh, contemporary feel, and focused on emphasizing users contributing posts when browsing or searching for content.

Strategy:
Patch is a local news site that offers a mix of posts from local contributors and neighbors with professional editorial content from Patch editors. In 2011 Patch underwent a major redesign & architecture initiative to reimagine the brand and focus on increasing user contribution. The new structure focused on user contribution and the creation of groups neighbors could join, post to, and follow. We were specifically directed to develop concepts that were friendly and playful. This concept used the metaphor of ‘peas in a pod’ as a way to convey the idea of groups. The anthropomorphized peas representing individual users, would help guide users through new tasks, and invite them to take specific actions in the app. The concept had the added benefit of fitting well with the Patch name.

Marketing site for the newly developed Vesta Hoboken Luxury Condominiums in Hoboken NJ. The design draws from the color palette and clean lines of the building's architecture. 

Design, Print Production

A fun series of download cards I developed for eMusic. featuring different stand-ups comedians from Comedy Central specials. Each card took on it's own look and feel—balancing elements from the cover art of each album, Comedy Central's (then) lo-fi visual elements and eMusic's brand standards.
